Since beginning his ministry, we’ve had a number of exciting opportunities for our worship community:

  • Sunday school began for all ages through 6th grade which meets during our 9am service.

  • Confirmation continues to meet Wednesday evenings.

  • Bristol has been gifted with a Casavant pipe organ, and we are in the process of re-imagining what our worship space will look like as we hope to make our space welcoming to all.

  • 10am Wednesday morning Bible Studies review the readings for Sundays’ services.

  • We maintain a strong commitment to our community through Food Pantry, Sunshine Supper, and so much more.

  • We are an affirming community of faith, who welcomes all people to worship and hear Gospels saving message of the Jesus Christ forgiveness, which frees us to serve our community and each other.

If you come regularly, thank you, if you come when you can, we appreciate you, if you haven’t been to worship in a while, please accept this invitation. If you have never stepped foot in a church, please know that you are welcome just as you are. Our worship space is open to all!

Karen Kane--Parish Office Manager

Karen Kane joined Bristol Lutheran Church originally in 1992. After some time away, Karen again became a member in 2018. In November, she began as our Parish Office Manager. Karen’s background includes health care and health insurance management throughout her business career. Karen completed her Bachelor’s in Health Administration at the young age of 58. Karen’s strong religious and spiritual background includes a Lutheran upbringing, with guidance to be open and loving to people of all faiths, cultures, and beliefs. The roles of Parish Office Manager provides Karen with the opportunity to listen, share, and love in a unique way.

Volunteering and advocating for others has been an important part of her life. She’s also a volunteer and support group facilitator with the Alzheimer’s Association. Karen is a member of the Outreach LGBT Senior Alliance Committee, which provides activities and educational opportunities to our community. There is a disconnect for our LGBT elders when they face health care needs, and Karen is working with both organizations as we look for ways to ensure safety and security for LGBT elders in assisted living or nursing facilities. Stop by anytime and talk with Karen about her many adventures!
